Oak Smoked Bacon and Crab stuffed Mushrooms :

Bacon and Crab Mushroom Caps Recipe

A great tasting side accompaniment or starter to any meal. Perfect finger food combining the healthy fresh crab meat and distinct taste of oak smoked bacon.

 

Ingredients

200g Oak smoked bacon
200g fresh crab meat
150g Cheddar cheese
Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons parsley
30 to 40 medium mushroom caps

 

Recipe

 

Fill a saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Add the smoked bacon for 3 - 4 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water and pat dry the bacon.

Thinly chop smoked bacon and combine with crab meat and cheese, spooning evenly into the mushrooms.

Oven cook until cheese begins to brown (8 - 10 minutes)

Sprinkle parlsey over the mushroom caps, and top with mayonnaise to taste.
